Mon Oct 08 '18 Announcement from Ockel Sirius A: the World's Most Versatile Mini PC
Hi all,
Time for an all new update. This week we’ll tell you more about the production status, the Ockel Investment press event and an upcoming trip overseas.
Production update
The national holiday is officially over. This means that all aspects of our production are slowly getting back up again. We are happy to tell you that the test phase of our pre-production models has been started and is expected to finished in the middle of next week. We aim to get our hands on a fully assembled pre-production model later next week. We’ll take it back to our HQ in the Netherlands and will extensively test the model in-house (day-to-day activities) as well as in third party test facilities. As soon as we confirm this model, the Ockel Sirius A production will kick-off. We expect a lead-time for the new PCB models of 30-35 days. After which the units will be assembled and shipped to you. This means that we currently expect to be able to ship out all remaining Ockel backorders in November.
We’ll also be able to ship a fairly small batch of Ockel Sirius A's later this month, we expect to have more details available about this small batch later next week.

Dear Respa pioneers and friends. We hope you are well.
As you know, the Respa product measures your breathing patterns for fitness and wellness. Respa is the new frontier and we are excited that you are on this journey with us as pioneers supporting Respa. You are co-creating a new product category for breathing and fitness.
Team Respa has been working hard to make both the device and app. We are committed to delivering the product to you. We hit a minor setback with manufacturing the device. We projected having the product and app ready to deliver early October, but our new estimate is mid-November. We are sorry for the delay. This delay is due to global shortage for electronic parts (e.g. memory chip, Bluetooth chip, microprocessor, etc.) affecting everyone in the industry (the auto industry and cell phone manufacturers are consuming many electronic parts). We sat down with our supply chain and manufacturing partners and we found out that some parts have lead times of 42 weeks to as much as 91 weeks. We fortunately chose parts for Respa that can be secured in shorter lead times. We are now focused on receiving the parts and then fabricating the device for you. We will keep you updated over the coming weeks.
On other news, the mobile app screens are moving along. We have completed the mobile app wireframes and visual designs. Now we hand over the designs to the programmers to code the app for iOS and Android platforms.
