It’s been two years.
Two years since I wrote the first draft of the script for Pet Turtles.
The idea for Pet Turtles came to me a little less than two weeks before I finished writing the first draft. The writing of the script took place on two separate Thursdays and one Tuesday thrown in there for good measure. So, with all that being said, I’ve been living in the world of this movie for over two years now.
I’ve had loved ones and people I was close to pass away. I’ve had friends, family members, and ex-girlfriends leave me absolutely brokenhearted. I’ve gained and lost jobs. I’ve moved to a new home in a new state four separate times. I’ve been hospitalized. I’ve struggled my whole life with depression and unshakeable sadness...
Pardon my language, but I’ve been through some real shit.
Life has been incredibly hard for me, but nothing, and I do have to stress NOTHING has been as hard on me as making a movie has been.
There were a lot of times where I thought about giving up. There were a lot of days where no progress was made on getting a movie made because all I could do was stay in bed—I can vividly recall crying on the kitchen floor of my old apartment and telling my wife I didn’t want to do it anymore.
It’s been hard.
It’s been so, so hard.
Two years and two and a half (or so) weeks later, though, I’m happy to say that this movie has been shot. It still needs work so that it sounds and looks nice, so there’s still lots and lots of hard work to be done with this movie, but for a long time shooting a movie seemed like it would be impossible and that’s happened!
I’ve wanted to a make a movie since I was 13 years old. This has been a dream of mine for over half of my life and two years after writing the first draft of this movie’s screenplay, this thing is so, so close to being on a screen in front of you.
Follow your dreams. It’s the hardest thing in the world a person can do, but follow your dreams and, eventually, your dreams WILL be realized.
And, if you’re lucky like me, you’ll meet some of the best friends you’ll ever make in your life along the way.
Thank you so much for supporting me and this movie. I assure you that your time, your contributions, and your patience are going to be worth it.
I love this movie and you will, too.

I thought I was done in a minute, but when you reach the last meter of a month-long project, it’s not easy to get it across the finish line. In the meantime I sent a handful of finished book versions to the printer and, well, it has finally become a final version.
After the completion of Volume 1 I could hardly remember which version was the right one. After more than a year in this volume 2 I made the same mistakes again. But how about the profiles I saved?
They were wrong. So, what on earth have I done?
Now that’s settled and I already have the feeling that soon there will come a time when I will be sorted again. Even if the chaos based on self-publication is all too often on the agenda.
What was I gonna say..... Oh yes – we are ready.
The book went to the printer! ...
... Ok, ok, let’s say they will start soon.

Sat Jun 23 '18 Announcement from The Temp Tales Movie
Hey Folks!
We're still working on animated the Temp Tales Movie everyday and expect to finish the first part at least by the end of the year, if not sooner. As I think we explained before, making a feature length cartoon with JUST ONE ANIMATOR is completely nuts, particularly when most animated films have 50-100 times that! But it's coming along and we're wicked friggin happy with how the cartoon looks so far. This one will be about a half hour in length and hopefully we can get funding after we release it so we can finish the others. We're still looking into a platform for screening it as YouTube is garbage when it comes to compensating artists. So if anyone has any suggestions we'd love to hear em! Thanks for your patience and cheers!

Over this extended period, the current board of Retro Computers Limited have sought to support him at every opportunity in both his professional and private life. Having shared a personal friendship with some of the current board spanning several decades. It is with much sadness that we announce that it has reached a point where Sir Clive no longer looks after his own day to day affairs, and as his advisors have pointed out he has not been "doing much directing lately".
We ask that you do not disabuse this statement as after all without him and his incredible mind and legacy there would be no Spectrum Community at all.
