• App testing is going great. Here's a few design mockups to give you a sense of the direction the design is taking. Fri Dec 21 '12 Announcement from Heaven's Shadow
It has been a few days since the last update, for two reasons.
Reason the first is that I've been spending some time on the business side of things. The website is now up, and I've even confirmed with DTRPG that the terms of my exclusive contract still allow me to sell my own pre-orders, so there is not a pre-order option for the PDF and EPUB editions on the BWP site, for those who want to pass it along or didn't get in on the IGG.
Reason the second is that I hit something of a wall with the sample adventure. That wall being, basically, that it sucked. It was 1200 words thus far of pure dullness and I ultimately decided that it would be a waste of pages.
Instead, I've excised the offending piece, and will be including a series of short mission hooks themed after each of the ten Paths of Sin. I felt this would be both more interesting to write, and more versatile as a tool for GMs than filling those same pages with only a single adventure.
This does mean I'm down a peg from where I was several days back, but I think it will result in a more fun and useful book.
As there are also some changes and additions to the actual rules material, I'll also be pushing out a new draft copy of the rules to the Playtest level backers shortly.

Merry Christmas from Aussie Block Dice!
Hi all, and happy holidays :) As a belated christmas gift, our beautiful dice (all 21,480 of them) will be shipping out on the 4th of Jan. They did try and get them done to be shipped this week, but due to the complexity of our order it didn't quite make it.
The block dice are done and the D6 are drying now so they just need to package them and post them when the office reopens at the start of next year.
As soon as they arrive, I'll get some photos of the dice done and share them. And I'll also start the herculean task of packing and sorting all those dice (thankfully, some locals have offered to help!)
So we're well on track for a Feb 2013 delivery, indeed I have every intention of getting them out the door during January.
Anyone going to CanCon is most welcome to collect their dice in person, I'll be hanging around the Blood Bowl tables wearing a big trench coat full of dice ;)

Fri Dec 21 '12 Announcement from AMP: Sustainability's Starting Point
Happy Holidays AMP supporters! John and I want to update you on what’s been going on since our campaign wrapped. After a significant amount of outreach and vetting, we’re delighted to have found an excellent design partner in PXL Bros, and a development partner in Magic Key. Both are based in Los Angeles, allowing for in-person meetings since I’m based in Santa Monica. They have worked successfully together in the past on tech startups with similar functionality and are also really wonderful people who believe in AMP’s mission, which was important to us as we were screening potential candidates.
We’ve recently completed a lot of prep work to ensure the project starts off on the right foot, with wireframing set to begin in January and the beta version of the site going live this Spring. We’ll keep you posted as we hit major milestones, and we are likely going to solicit some feedback as we move forward.
Everyone that selected a $25 perk (i.e., thank you card with sustainably made sticker) or $50 perk (t-shirt made from recycled water bottles) should have received them by now. If you haven’t, please shoot an email to sarah@ampyourimpact.com. It was a humbling experience to write so many thank you cards and to be reminded of everyone that’s supporting our efforts. We feel very grateful this holiday season.

Sat Dec 22 '12 Announcement from DIY QoL experiments
It's the end of the day on the long anticipated 21st of December, 2012, and I hope you've enjoyed a remarkably peaceful day.
Thanks very much for the support on my first experiment with IndieGogo, officially finished with its pledge drive as of midnight to girth. The lessons learned have been excellent & if you're curious about this funding option, let me know! I've got about 30-40 hours logged n learning about it & putting different pieces together.
While I let go of reaching my funding goal early on, your support still means the world to me - thank you enormously. And the project has been an excellent exercise for me in productive failure. With Shira's help, we've gotten 3 new WikiHow articles started, with plans for a full set of 21. We've also got several TEDed lessons. The full list with links is up at:
